I've shifted to www.additionalnoise.com.. see me there.
Okay, We've all seen the apple ads, everything looks perfect. Any steve jobs keynote are perfect. Any pictures are perfect.
But does is actually work?
Well, I bought a 500 gig Western Digital specifically for time machine around the same time I bought Leopard.
Finally today I got to test it.
I had my "CD-ripped" Eagles long road out of Eden disc's in a folder on my desktop. In a quick clean up session, I deleted the folder, thinking that iTunes would have made copies in its library. But today i started iTunes and no Eagles. Apparently I had turned the copying option off. So I start up time machine, go back about 5 days and click on the 'folder from the past'. The window fades out and the folder zooms to my present desktop, time machine hides it self and lo behold my folder is back from the past. The eagle has landed.
sweet.

I am now going to become a facebook images madman. I just learned that you can email photographs from your phone directly to facebook. All you have to do is email the pic to mobile@facebook.com from the email id you use for facebook. (I dont think it works from non-mobile device)

How does one celebrate ones 18th birthday?
Let me tell you how. Its was a cold pittsburgh day, the dogs were howling in the wind, and future overlord Sid was asleep. Unknown to him was a plan underway, a plan that could have derailed weeks ago when the secret was almost let out. Yet, tonight was the night of the great surprise.
As Sid got up in the morning he realized that his inner sanctum had been breached.. as he reached for his 55 calibre, he heard a familiar voice. It was his father.
Yup, my dad flew like a billion miles to surprise me on my birthday... it was the most awesome birthday gift ever.
But the story doesn't end here. As the day drew on the noon changed to night, Sid's inner friends approached him with a scroll... the scroll of Lachesis.
later, my floor mates presented me with a piece of paper. On it was printed a picture of a mouse (a razer lachesis) i had wanted for about 3 months (geek).. they all got together and bought me a $80 dollar mouse .... awesome.. i love all of them....
Best.Birthday.Ever.
Ps: Leopard is theĀ shit people. I love it. I am gonna find some time and review it over the weekend.
